We believe that a strong interactive relationship between us and our clients is the foundation of a great, personalised design. Everything we do is rooted in our clients’ own ideas and preferences. We aim only to shape, enhance and embellish those. Our work is driven by their interests and needs, not taken off the shelf, or out of a magazine.
Design.
The first step of any project is to meet clients on-site and assess their needs. Having architectural engineers there at this stage helps the client to understand what can be achieved and helps to structure their ambitions. That is the platform from which the full project develops. We take care of the project in its entirety, but we always ensure that the client is kept abreast of what we are doing at every stage and seek their input if and when it’s needed.
Interiors.
No one wants to feel they are living in a museum. Interiors have to be created so that they can be added to, evolve and be lived in.
We design our interiors for our clients’ use and enjoyment. For that, they have to be built on the client’s own needs and ideas. The first step for us is to visit a client’s existing home (or premises for commercial clients) and talk to them about what they like in their existing house. This might be a work of art, a particular fabric, a particular piece of furniture, or a favourite mirror. We use the ideas and ‘feel’ generated by these to inspire our work in creating their new environment and space.
As part of our team’s capabilities, we can offer bespoke joinery design that allows us to be very imaginative and innovative, as well as economical, in how we use and develop interior space.
We understand that budgeting is important and we will shape any project to the client’s requirements on that front, adjusting, as may be necessary during the execution of any project.
Project Management.
Izzy MacPhail has 26 years of experience working in creative industries, with 12 years in construction and interior design. But her work is highly practical as well as creative.
Izzy MacPhail works with groups of highly experienced tradespeople and professionals. All her work involves building teams to fit the size of the project, managing to tight budgets, delivering the flow of supplies to site and the overall project to schedule. She has exceptionally strong and long-standing relationships with tradespeople across the industry, guaranteeing high standards to all the work delivered. Regular site meetings with clients ensure everyone is aware of progress and any potential issues related to delivery are understood and addressed in a timely fashion.
